The Cantummit Waltz is a delightful little waltz that sounds a bit off kilter because it has seven-measure phrases. To balance that, there are also two countermelodies presented, with the final A section featuring the main melody and both countermelodies in a grand calliope sound. The "Cantummit Waltz" is called that because I found it hard to hum a few bars when asked to do so by some people who were helping me name it. So they suggested that I call it the "I Can't Hum It Waltz". "Can't Hum It" became "Cantummit".
INSTRUMENTATION (This is for a small band. It can also be modified to better fit your ensemble. There may be a modest fee.)
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Trumpet, Horn in F, Trombone, Baritone (T.C.), Tuba, Percussion – (Cymbals, Snare, Bass)
