"He Who Would Valiant Be" is a timeless work, both its libretto and music. This arrangement takes a middle ground between the ponderous and frenetic arrangements available. It’s classical but with movement. Also known as "To Be a Pilgrim", the words were written in 1684 by John Bunyan in part two of his book "Pilgrim’s Progress". The music is an English folk melody called “Monk’s Gate”.
