Arranging
Arrange vocals, keyboard, horns, strings, etc. to make your song sound its best.

DESCRIPTION

A song is often remembered for its arrangement, and sometimes the arrangement either makes or breaks the song. Every piece of music, whether vocal or purely instrumental, has been arranged. Someone decided who would play or sing what and when. An arrangement makes sure that the music sounds the way it should.

An arrangement starts with considering how the instruments and voices are chosen and played/sung together. An arranger also considers the best key for the instruments that will be playing it. Most guitarists hate key signatures with flats; many horn players do better with not so many sharps or flats in the music. A good arrangement is written with the range of the singer(s) and other instruments in mind. A good arranger also considers the tone of the instruments and voices so that they blend well or stand in contrast, depending on what you want your music to sound like.

Your arrangement can include vocal parts, guitar chords and keyboard part. Larger arrangements can include horns, strings or other instruments.

I will listen to your song, discuss the style you'd like it to reflect and the instruments you'd like to use. Then, I will make your song sound its very best.

I have the skill and experience to arrange your song so that it will sound its best. We can discuss the best options for your project.

PRICING

This is an average cost for arranging a song or instrumental music, which means it could be more, or less. Each musical work presents its own level of challenge and the work to arrange it would reflect those challenges. For a proper quote, please Contact Me.

The average cost per line, per minute of music arranged is $15.

If you already have sheet music or even a fake chart /lead sheet from which I can get melody and harmony, I can arrange it to fit your taste. If I have to transcribe your music before I can arrange it, the transcription fee would have to be added to the cost, although it would be somewhat less if I did a transcription / arrangement package.

I’ve done a couple of samples for you. But, remember that these are just samples. Please contact me for a quote.
